Blog Post #18 - Time

What is time?
Clock is time.
So is seasons.
Night is time so is day.
Calendar is time .

Here is where it gets interesting - Einstein said the fourth dimension is time and if you travel in a space craft at the speed of light.. ok I hear you. You know that theory. Do you really know that theory? Do you believe it?

What happens when you sleep? Where do you go? What happens to that time?

Let us do some math

You productive life is 18 to 70 = 52 years =  18980 days

If you are 38 years old then you have 32 years of productive life = 11680. some of my friends have about 10,000 left (yes my friends are getting old.. not me?)

With every passing day you lose 1 from this 10k.

Each day has its routine for everyone which takes care of about 20 hours ( 8 hours sleep, 8 hours work, commute + eat + drink + rest room + useless and useful talk + shower ).. leaves about 4 hours.

4 times 10k = 40k hours ..

What will you do in the rest of the 40k hours left?

Sounds depressing? The idea was to use math to get to the point that days are long and years are short.

We all leave a small foot print. We may not invent printing press or electricity or some theory that helps humanity but we can do our part to help the world be a better place.

Teach a child something you know
Donate to charity
Be kind to people (for the 40k hours left..)
Smile (force a smile and you will be happy..try this..stand in front of mirror. Put your finger between your teeth and voila.. the mind responds to body.try it. )
